The Cape High Court will begin the sentencing of convicted murderer Najwa Petersen on Wednesday.
In December last year Petersen, Abdoer Emjedi and Waheed Hassen were found guilty of killing popular musician Taliep Peterson over two years ago.
The fourth suspect, Jefferson Snyders, was found not guilty of murder but was convicted of armed robbery.
Taliep's relatives have called for the harshest possible sentence.
In handing down his verdict in December, Cape High Court Judge Siraj Desai said Najwa Petersen blatantly lied to the court.
Desai added that Petersen co-operated fully with the hitmen she hired to kill her husband and played a pivotal role in the execution of the crime.
However, the State failed to prove that she pulled the trigger.
Speaking after the judgment, Taliep?s brother Igshaan Petersen said that all his brother wanted was to be free of his estranged wife.
"My message to Najwa is, she's got to rot in jail, she's got to stay. She's got to be punished for what she did," said Igshaan Petersen at the time.
The court will hear arguments in aggravation and mitigation of sentencing.
