Christelle Lotter, whose brother and sister are accused of murdering their parents, has lodged a court bid to block their inheritance, a report said on Monday.

In an affidavit before the Durban High Court, Christelle says her siblings, together with their co-accused Mathew Naidoo, were motivated by "money, sex and anger", reported the Mercury newspaper.

She says they are not entitled to one cent of their parents' R2-million estate, even if they are acquitted,

Christelle has retained the services of top advocate Kemp J Kemp, who successfully represented President Jacob Zuma.

The siblings, Nicolette and Hardus, as well as Naidoo, Nicolette's former boyfriend, are accused of murdering Johannes and Magdalena Lotter at their Westville home last year.

They were later arrested and are currently locked in a battle with the Legal Aid Board over who will represent them at their trial.

Meanwhile, the pair has launched an urgent application in the Durban High Court, asking for monthly maintenance from their parents' estate and money for legal fees and experts, who they hope will get them off the hook.

On Friday, Christelle filed an opposing affidavit with the court in which she says they committed the "murder most foul" driven by "money, sex and anger".

"They planned to get away with the murders to inherit and to live as they please," she said.

Christelle wants a judge to declare her siblings "unworthy" of inheriting from her parents' estate, saying they could not "benefit from their wrongful and criminal conduct".

The matter will be heard on 13 July.
