Ekhuruleni metro police have confirmed that the African National Congress's Germiston offices were broken into on Tuesday night.

Officers said two doors were forced open and several items were stolen.

Police are now investigating a case of housebreaking theft.

"We will obviously look at it as a housebreaking with intent to steal and theft because they got away with smaller items," said the metro police's Jimmy Maboko.
