The SABC's management and unions met on Friday to discuss salary
increases, the broadcaster said.
"Management believes that there has been progress which resulted
in all parties agreeing to report back to their constituencies on
Monday," spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago said in a statement.
"Until then, we are not in a position to divulge the issues that
are placed on the table."
The dispute between the public broadcaster and unions has been
simmering for the past few weeks.
The Communication Workers Union and the Media Workers
Association of SA went to the Commission for Conciliation,
Mediation and Arbitration when the SABC revised a 12.2 percent pay
offer it was supposed to have implemented in April, to 8.5 percent.
