A stolen car was recovered after a shoot-out in Mofolo North, Soweto, on Saturday evening, police said.

Inspector Kay Makhubela said police approached suspects, who sparked a shoot-out by opening fire on them.

All the suspects managed to get away.

The vehicle was found to have been stolen in Booysens earlier on Saturday.
