A man was stabbed to death allegedly by three men in Chatsworth, Durban paramedics said on Sunday.

"Paramedics found the man in Florence Nightingale Road outside an abandoned house at 9pm on Saturday," ER24 spokesman Derrick Banks said.

"When paramedics arrived on the scene, they were led by police to the lifeless body of the man — believed to be in his late 30s. He was found in a pool of blood had been stabbed multiple times to the throat, face and head."

He said police detained three men and took them in for questioning.

The motive behind the murder was not yet known.

Police were not immediately available for comment.
