The Joost van der Westhuizen sex tape saga appears to be at an end — but several questions remain about the infamous video.

Van der Westhuizen and private investigator Mike Bolhuis say they are now moving on.

Several weeks ago the pair was adamant the former rugby star would lay charges.

They say it is not an admission of defeat but that they do not want to spend time or money fighting the issue.

They say the do not want to expose van der Westhuizen's children to further media reports.

It is still not clear who was behind the making of the video or what their intentions were.

It is also unclear whether the former Bok captain is the man in the video.

Van der Westhuizen has maintained his innocence throughout but Heat magazine, which published the footage, says it is clear that it is him.
