President Jacob Zuma announced the names of new members of the Judicial Services Commission on Sunday, the office of the presidency said.

Advocates Ismael Semenya, Dumisa Ntsebeza, Vas Soni and Andiswa Ndoni were announced as designated persons to serve as members of the JSC, presidential spokesperson Vincent Magwenya said in a statement.

The four would replace advocates George Bizos, Kgomotso Moroko, Seth Nthai and John Ernstzen who resigned on 13 July.

The designation of JSC members was signed by the Acting President Kgalema Motlanthe on 16 July 2009 in Pretoria.

Zuma expressed his appreciation to the outgoing members for their service to the country as members of the JSC, and wished them well in their responsibilities.
