The grandfather of one of the alleged victims of "sex for grants" accused, Terry Oliphant, says he has destroyed his family.

The girl, who was 15 at the time, was filmed while having sex with Oliphant in 2005.

The video was widely distributed and Oliphant was eventually exposed by investigative television programme Special Assignment earlier this year.

He was dismissed from his job at the South African Social Security Agency and charged with statutory rape for allegedly having sex with another 15-year-old girl.

The grandfather and legal guardian of the girl in the video, Peter, says his grandchild was pregnant with Oliphant's child but they decided to abort.
