Two boys from Reddersburg who were monitored for swine flu were discharged from Pelonomi hospital in Bloemfontein, SABC news said on Sunday.

The boys attended the same school as the 15-year-old boy who died on Friday after he was diagnosed with H1N1 influenza.

MEC for Health Sisi Mabe said the tests came back negative, the broadcaster said.

Ten cases of swine flu have been confirmed in the province so far.

Swine flu was first recorded in South Africa in the middle of June. In early August, the NICD put the number of cases in the country at 480.
