The president of Mali Amadou Toumani Toure conferred orders on

presidency announced on Saturday.
The order bestowed on Tshabalala-Msimang and the Deputy Minister
of Arts and Culture Ntombazana Botha was in recognition of their
contribution to the advancement of the bilateral relations between
South Africa and Mali.
Tshabalala-Msimang was honoured as the Officier de l'orde
National du Mali ( meaning a Officer of the National Order of
Mali), while Botha bestowed as the Chevalier de l' ordre National

the South Africa-Mali Timbuktu Manuscripts Project.

as well as to discuss areas of co-operation in the field of youth
development.
