At least 43 people were injured on Saturday night when a bus
lost control on the R66 outside Melmoth, KwaZulu Natal paramedics
said.
Mounties Ambulance service spokesperson Joseph Kruger said the
private bus called Trans-Pour, had been travelling from Empangeni
towards Melmoth when it lost control on the R66 at around 9:30pm,
and rolled down an embankment.
"At least 43 people sustained minor to serious injuries and were
taken to various hospitals," said Kruger.
"There were no critical patients or any fatalities."
All passengers aboard the bus were government employees, he
said.
