Cosatu general-secretary Zwelinzima Vavi said on Saturday, that he is to meet with Cabinet ministers to discuss the implementation of public servants' salary increases, the SABC reported.
Vavi who was speaking during the labour federation's provincial congress in Polokwane, said he would meet with the ministers on Wednesday.
On Friday, the Congress of South African Trade Unions called on government to act with urgency to avert what it called, a ticking time bomb in the public service.
Last month, doctors embarked on a strike, demanding salary increases.
