Four men were arrested on Sunday for allegedly selling fraudulent sick notes for R200 each in Soshanguve, Pretoria, police said.

A medical doctor had earlier reported that his sick note pad and rubber stamp had been stolen, said Captain Tessa Jansen.

"We arrested one man who led us to another three men who were found in possession of the doctor's sick note pad, the stamp, two stolen laptops, a stolen printer and MTN airtime slips."

They were to appear in the Garankuwa Magistrate's Court on Monday.
