President Jacob Zuma?s first cabinet lekgotla began at the Presidential Guest House in Pretoria on Tuesday morning.

Cabinet ministers, premiers and members of local government were in attendance.

After a quick coffee and greeting their colleagues, members of Zuma?s new cabinet focused on the task at hand.

Before the doors closed several ministers could be seen making small talk, enjoying the last few minutes of lightheartedness before business of governance was discussed.

Zuma himself seemed to be in a good mood and cracked a joke with his ministers before the lekgotla started.

Nine provincial premiers and representatives from the South African Local Government Association were also at the presidential guesthouse to have their say in how the country is run.
