Western Cape Premier Helen Zille delivers her state of the province address at the provincial legislature on Friday morning.
Zille has taken flack for delivering her speech ahead of President Jacob Zuma?s state of the nation address, with the African National Congress accusing her of breaking protocol by speaking before the head of the country.
The premier will, however, go ahead and outline the provincial government's vision.
There are bound to be changes as Zille sets out the priorities to be tackled by the provincial government.
Zille's spokesperson Robert MacDonald says the premier's state of the province address will set out clear guidelines on how the new provincial government will be run.
"Specifically looking at interventions in each of the departments and also looking at overall organisational reforms, especially in terms of financial management and performance management, have increased efficiency in the organisation," says MacDonald.
Opposition parties have indicated that Zille must outline how the province will respond to the pressures of the economic recession, which could lead to increased job losses and poverty.
