Two Metrorail coaches were burnt at the Waltloo Train Station in Tshwane, the city said on Tuesday.

The incident happened on Monday night, said spokesperson Console Tleane.

He said no one was injured as there were no passengers inside the coaches at the time of the incident.

"The actual cause of the fire will be investigated, but a case of arson is suspected," said Tleane.
