A Pretoria businessman will approach the court to demand the details of a security assessment carried out on the presidency's estate.

Rashid Aboobaker is the owner of the last piece of Bryntirion property not owned by the state, which government wants to expropriate on the grounds of national security.

The land borders property used to house the country's top leaders and security officials have cautioned that it poses a security risk.

However, Aboobaker is fighting the matter and on Monday will approach the North Gauteng High Court in an effort to secure several legal opinions and a security assessment which may hold the key to whether or not he losses his property.
