Party MP Anton Alberts said ASA had shown "frightening contempt" for freedom of speech as well as for the physical integrity of its own athletes.
"The unacceptable actions of Athletics South Africa and ANC members under the leadership of a board member Hendrik Mokganyetsi, at this weekend's athletes meeting in Pretoria, is strongly condemned by the FF Plus," Alberts said.
He said Mokganyetsi had "shut up" the meeting's chairperson, Arnaud Malherbe, by "speaking louder than him and calling him a racist".
"Mokganyetsi had furthermore intimidated an athlete, Geraldine Pillay, by shoving his finger in her face and wagging it in front of her while one of his youth commando members grabbed her by the shoulders," he said.
"The ANC government has to intervene now to restore the peace and racial harmony. If not, the speedy regression of another aspect of the South African society into a complete 'Zimbabwefication' will take place," Alberts said.
