Around five armed men robbed a cellphone shop in the Greenstone Shopping Centre in Ekurhuleni on Friday, said police.

Superintendent Victor Robertson said four to five armed men entered a cellphone shop in the Greenstone centre.

"They took some goods and an undisclosed amount of money and they fled in a black bakkie."

Edenvale police said laptops and cellphones were stolen.

Police were combing the scene for clues and they were expecting the shop to provide them with CCTV footage.

No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.
