"We will boycott products produced in farms where workers are assaulted, harrassed, and exploited," he told protesters at the Brits Magistrate's Court during the appearance of farmer Dawie Swart.
Vavi said Cosatu would continue to protest at court where farmers appear in connection with the murder or assault of farm workers.
More than 200 members of Cosatu in the North West province marched to the Brits Magistrate's Court to demand the withdrawal of the bail granted to Swart.
Protesters sang liberation songs and waved placards reading: "Granting him bail will leave us with no option but to apply the same force he applied and we will apply for bail."
Another placard reads: "No bail in attempted murder".
In a memorandum handed over to court, Cosatu demanded the withdrawal of the bail granted to Swart and that his case should be transferred to the High Court in Pretoria.
They also demanded Swart should be arrested for allegedly shooting one Petrus Mokopane in 2007.
Swart is in court on charges of attempted murder for allegedly shooting four people on June 14 at his Klipkop farm on suspicions that they were stealing oranges.
One of the four, Thabo Thabane, 15, said they were going to a shop owned by Swart after playing soccer when they were shot.
"He fired at us and asked what are you doing here?"
Thabane was shot below the right eye and the bullet is still lodged below his eye socket.
He is expected go return to hospital on July 19 when doctors will try to remove it.
His brother Thebogo, 13, was shot in his right hand and left leg.
Leonard Nkadimeng, 19, was shot in the right arm and Joseph Ntwagae was shot in the right shoulder.
The case against Swart was postponed to August 7 for further investigation.
His bail of R7000 was extended.
Got something to say?
