The Young Communist League has slammed African National Congress Youth League President Julius Malema for comments he made about political leaders 'who are elites who drink red wine'.
Malema told the Mail & Guardian there were some people who presented themselves as working class leaders when in fact they were not.
The YCL claims Malema was referring to Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande.
The league's Khaye Nkwanyana says Malema is following the wrong example.
"He should not follow the steps of Jabu Moleketi and Thabo Mbeki," says Nkwanyana.
