The MK Veterans Association has rubbished rumours of another strike by soldiers.

South African National Defence Force soldiers took to the streets of Pretoria last month demanding better pay.

During running clashes with police, officers were forced to fire rubber bullets at protestors who refused to disperse.

The association's Ramaduku Maphutha said they would meet Defence Minister Lindiwe Sisulu before any further action was taken.

"Generals are not briefing the minister properly. So to say the soldiers are angry, yes they are angry but we have agreed they must wait until we meet the minister."
