Lawyers for Western Cape Judge President John Hlophe say he will be at Sunday’s Judicial Service Commission hearings for four Constitutional Court posts.

It comes after suggestions in the Mail and Guardian newspaper that he might be looking at getting another job.

Hlophe was accused by the Constitutional Court of interfering in cases relating to President Jacob Zuma.

The judge’s lawyers say he will be in Kliptown to answer questions from the JSC about why he feels he should be appointed to the Constitutional Court.

Meanwhile, commissioners are preparing their questions.

The JSC’s Advocate Marumo Moerane said they all get to ask as many as they like.

Hlophe’s interview is due to start at 4.00pm on Sunday.
