Democratic Alliance leader Helen Zille has said community members must vote for the alternative if they want service delivery to improve.

She spoke to residents in Esselen Park in Ekhuruleni on Saturday morning, urging them to vote out corrupt community leaders.

Zille said if they want service delivery to be improved they must vote for the political party councillor that best represents them and their needs.

She said there is no point in protesting over poor services if they elect corrupt councillors who do not do their jobs.

The Western Cape premier added the only way things can change in poor communities is if residents vote into office the right people to make those changes happen.
