A second fire at the Pretoria Magistrate's Court in as many days has now been extinguished.

It broke out on the fourth floor of the building earlier.

Officers say, everyone is safe and no-one has been hurt.

They are also happy with the evacuation procedures and that there was no repeat of Monday's drama that saw 12 prisoners trapped in holding cells.

Officials say now that this has happened twice in the last 24 hours, they are going to conduct a thorough investigation.

"We have a fire on the fourth floor of the Pretoria Magistrate's Court in Court A. The exact cause of the fire is not known however, we suspect a case of arson," says the Tshwane Community Safety Department?s Console Tleane.
