Cezanne Visser, dubbed 'Advocate Barbie'. Sapa
Barbie 'hid' behind Dirk
Wed, 07 Oct 2009 12:00
The Pretoria High Court on Wednesday rejected claims by former
advocate Cezanne Visser that she had no will of her own when
involved in sexual acts with young girls and three women.
"The court finds that the accused now for convenience sake wants
to hide behind Dirk Prinsloo's conduct to justify her own conduct
and deeds," Acting Judge Chris Eksteen said in his judgment.
He found it unlikely Visser had not reconciled herself with her
former lover's modus operandi to drug victims and then sexually
abuse them. It was also unlikely that she had fetched three young
girls from a children's home not knowing Prinsloo wanted to abuse
them sexually.
Visser has denied guilt to 14 charges of fraud, soliciting
minors to commit indecent acts, indecent assault, rape, possession
and manufacturing of child pornography and the possession of dagga.
She claimed Prinsloo, currently in a Russian jail, had
controlled her like a puppet and that she only carried out his
orders.
Eksteen said if she had no will of her own, she would not have
had fierce arguments with Prinsloo, apologised to one of the young
girls, rejected all offers of help to get away from him and made
false statements under oath to help him.
The judgment continues.
