Drug kingpin Glen Agliotti has conceded, to his knowledge, the Kebble family never had a corrupt relationship with former police commissioner Jackie Selebi.
The state's star witness is being cross-examined in the South Gauteng High Court.
Selebi is on trial on charges of corruption and defeating the ends of justice.
Advocate Jaap Cillier asked Agliotti if the former commissioner was aware he was receiving money from the Kebble family.
He replied the police chief did not know because he was acting as an intermediary.
He also conceded Selebi never did anything untowards in the Kebbles' favour.
Agliotti agreed when Cillier put it to him the ex-cop could not be corrupt simply because he attended dinners at Brett Kebble's home.
Earlier the witness had to leave the courtroom for a few minutes as legal teams argued about what Agliotti claimed to have received from Selebi in exchange for bribing him.
