A hijack victim who was stuffed into the boot of his own car by four hijackers has escaped with minor injuries after his attackers crashed his car.
The man was hijacked in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The suspects stopped to fill up his Audi at a petrol station and the man tried to grab the petrol attendant?s attention by making a noise in the boot.
ER24'S Werner Vermaak says the hijackers sped away from the filling station but crashed on the R59 in Duncanville in southern Gauteng.
"Paramedics treated the man for minor injuries to his head. He was severely traumatised at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital. It is understood that two suspects have been arrested," he said.
