Glenn Agliotti can expect the niceties from Jackie Selebi's legal team to be over on Tuesday, as the former police commissioner?s trial resumes.
Agliotti will return to the witness stand where he is being cross-examined by Selebi?s advocate.
The defence team met prosecutors in Pretoria on Monday so that they could see documents they believe are crucial to their case.
Last week the state's key witness found apparent favour with the defence as Jaap Cilliers empathised with him about the Scorpions' handling of the Brett Kebble murder case.
He also suggested to Agliotti that both he and Selebi are generous, kind-hearted philanthropists but on Tuesday the convicted drugs smuggler can expect a more aggressive confrontation as cross-examination continues.
He is likely to be quizzed about conflicting claims made in affidavits by other state witnesses.
Agliotti can also expect questions regarding the statements he made to the Scorpions and the police.
