A minibus taxi with the registration CA 192536 is worth R42 350 to Cape Town traffic authorities.
The vehicle, a Toyota, had logged 81 outstanding fines, traffic services spokesperson Merle Lourens said on Wednesday.
This made it the worst taxi offender on the city's books.
Another taxi, CF 121862, had logged a mere 67 unpaid fines, but they were worth a total of R45 150.
She said the top private vehicle offender was CA 695302, a Toyota, with 84 outstanding warrants worth R27 000.
