City of Cape Town officials are determined to relocate almost 400 foreign nationals occupying the Bluewaters site ahead of the festive season.
Some foreigners affected during last year's xenophobic violence are refusing to budge from the campsite in Strandfontein.
City bosses lodged an interdict at the Western Cape High Court last week.
The matter has been postponed as the city has been requested to file additional affidavits about the conditions at the camp.
City spokesperson Pieter Cronje said the location is a camping site that needs to be repaired ahead of the holiday season.
"The site has been extensively damaged. Our estimate is that R15-million will be needed to restore it as a holiday campsite which has always been its traditional use."
