A man who was arrested after being accused of playing a song to the tune of the national anthem, containing the "k" word and a reference to Nelson Mandela has told Eyewitness News he is "appalled and disgusted" by what was on the CD.

Falcon Security boss Ben Burger appeared in court on Tuesday after the disc was played during a potjiekos competition at Sun City on Saturday.

Burger has now suspended the head of the company's Sun City operations Warren Alberts over the incident.

Burger said he did not know why he was arrested by police and charged with crimen injuria.

"I wasn't the one that played the CD and we had to investigate the incident. It was established that Warren Alberts played the CD," he said.

The man said the company was still investigating what actually happened but it suspended Alberts as a precaution.

"It was not his CD as far as I am aware. Also he was not aware of the contents of the CD," Burger explained.

Trade union federation Cosatu is planning a march in the area to protest against the CD's contents.
