Springbok scrumhalf Ricky Januarie no longer has a warrant out for his arrest. His lawyer, Frikkie Erasmus told Eyewitness News on Monday that the warrant had been withdrawn at the Bellville Magistrate Court.

The warrant was issued on Friday, after Januarie didn't pitch at court for his drunken driving case, but it seemed that miscommunication had led to the action.

According to Eyewitness News records, Januarie was only due in court again in January 2010 and that the warrant was issued after a mix up with court dates.

"The matter will proceed on the 22nd of January, which is the initial date to which it was postponed to in July," said Erasmus.
