Accountant Martin Flint has testified how he cashed cheques on behalf of Glenn Agliotti and wrote 'JS' or 'cop' on the counterfoils.

He is giving evidence for the State in former police Chief Jackie Selebi's corruption trial in the South Gauteng High Court.

Flint's daughter Dianne Muller, Agliotti's ex-fiancée, testified in the trial on Thursday.

After Flint was warned he was giving evidence in exchange for indemnity, he replied he initially did not think he needed protection but accepted indemnity because he wanted the nightmare to end.

As the accountant for shelf company Spring Lights, Flint was responsible for writing out and cashing cheques on Agliotti's instruction.

In sworn statements he said he thought JS stood for Brett Kebble's associate John Stratton and that 'cop' referred to a payment for a former policeman Charles Bezuidenhout but he now claims the payment could not be for Bezuidenhout because the dates did not correlate.
