Disaster management officials had their hands full dealing with flooding in Khayelitsha, Oceanview, Masiphumelele and Phillipi East on Monday.

The weatherman warned another cold front would hit the Western Cape later this week.

The cold snap will bring more rain and increased chances of flooding.

Forecaster, Keith Moyer said over 40mm of rain was measured in some parts.

He said the downpours would abate by Tuesday but expected the rains to return by the middle of the week.

"We're back into the North Westerly circulation tomorrow, ahead of another oncoming frontal system, which reaches us round about lunchtime on Wednesday."
