The Independent Examinations Board says it is working on compensating matrics after an error in the physics paper.
On Friday, matrics wrote the paper but were thrown by the first question as it did not have a value attached to the question.
The IEB's Anne Oberholzer said the error was being investigated.
"Learners will not be disadvantaged by the problem. Essentially what happens is we look at the impact of the problem and that is also an issue that is taken into account and forms part of the discussions in reaching a solution to the problem," said Oberholzer.
