A ton of dagga with an estimated street value of R36-million was destroyed in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape police said on Tuesday.
Superintendent Priscilla Naidu said the dagga was confiscated in a container on a farm in March this year.
The dagga was set alight and burnt by police on Monday after the investigation into its origin reached a dead end.
