CapeNature has set up a 24-hour hotline for Capetonians to report illegal baboon-related activity.

This includes feeding baboons on the verge of any public road, which could lead to the person doing the feeding receiving a fine or landing up in court.

CapeNature's Natasha Wilson said it was determined to stop people from feeding baboons.

"[T]here's a range of methods and things out there to stop people from feeding baboons; we do educational awareness, we do baboon patrols, we do signage which is up on the roads [but despite this] people still feed baboons.? Complaints should be mailed to baboons@capenature.co.za or residents can call CapeNature on 079 949 8284.
