Singer Robbie Klay has told the North Gauteng High Court that even though he made some mistakes during his evidence-in-chief, he was still a child when he was molested by Jurie Els.

Klay is testifying against Els whom he claims abused him over several years.

He has admitted this week that he could not have been molested by Els before his 12th birthday.

He testified earlier that the incident happened at Els's Garsfontein home but conceded he may have had his facts wrong when he was confronted with documentation proving Els lived somewhere else at the time.

Klay also admitted that he lied to the media, his mother, the police and his lawyer about exactly what happened between him and Els ? but he said he was now an honest credible person.

He told the court that it did not matter what age he was when Els started abusing him as he was still a boy at the time and what had happened to him was wrong.
