The African National Congress Youth League has rejected the proposed return of former Eskom chair Bobby Godsell to the power utility.
Godsell is expected to meet Public Enterprises Minister Barbara Hogan this weekend.
Last week, Godsell announced to staff that CEO Jacob Maroga had resigned.
However, Maroga returned to work on Monday and Godsell left.
Maroga has now since resigned from the company.
The Black Management Forum and the ANC Youth League had called for Godsell to leave.
NKC independent economist, Christie Viljoen says Eskom's mismanagement is an embarrassment to the country.
"This is definitely an embarrassment that we could not afford. We already have a problem where our electricity supplies are not large enough. We really did not need anyone else doubting Eskom further," says Viljoen.
Got something to say?
