There has been a shootout at the Northgate Shopping Centre where apparently two robbers targeted one of the banks at the mall.

It appears shots were fired at close range in the parking lot on the upper floor with shoppers ducking for cover in surrounding stores.

Centre management has confirmed no one was wounded in the attack though one shopper was robbed near the car park.
