The Western Cape government said on Monday it wants to stop SA Roadlink buses from operating in the province.
This as one of the company's drivers was arrested for drunk driving on the N1 in Worcester on Saturday night.
The incident came just days after a number of SA Roadlink busses were declared un-roadworthy in George.
Western Cape Community Safety MEC Lennit Max will hold an urgent meeting on Monday with Transport MEC Robin Carlisle about SA Roadlink's future in the province.
Max said they were seriously looking at discontinuing the company's operations in the Western Cape.
A breathalyzer test indicated that the drunk driver had an alcohol level of 0.57 milligrams per litre, at least ten times more than the legal limit for professional drivers.
SA-Roadlink has not been available for comment.
