ANC spokesperson Zizi Kodwa has joined the presidency as special adviser to President Jacob Zuma on communications, it was announced on Tuesday.
Kodwa was Zuma's spokesperson in the ANC and managed his office at the ANC's Luthuli House headquarters, the presidency said in a statement.
He started out as a marketing manager for Denel's Swartklip division before becoming the spokesperson for the ANC Youth League, which he also served as a member of its National Executive Committee.
Kodwa is on the board of trustees of the country's International Marketing Council.
People who refuse to take part in the Census will be sent to prison or face a fine of R10 000.
