A Durban man found guilty of drunk driving has been handed a R50 000
fine by the Scottburgh Magistrate's Court, the KwaZulu-Natal Transport
department said on Friday.
Spokesperson Zinhle Mngomezulu said the 44-year-old motorist from
Shallcross was arrested on 6 May this year on the N2 freeway near Park
Rynie on the province's south coast.
"He was driving under the influence of alcohol and, with his R50 000
fine, the court also suspended his driver's licence."
