A South African woman suffered slight injuries in a bus accident in London, the department of foreign affairs said on Tuesday.

"The SA Diplomat Mission in the UK confirmed through the London police that only one South African woman was affected by the bus crash," said spokesperson Ronnie Mamoepa.

This followed Monday's incident in which several South Africans among other nationals were said to have been injured in a bus crash.

"The South African sustained minor injuries and was not admitted to hospital. That is all the information we have," said Mamoepa.

A total of 71 people were reportedly inside the bus at the time of the accident.
