Johannesburg metro police said they were searching for the driver of a Putco bus after he drove through a wall in Mondeor on Friday evening.
"The bus was empty. It bumped into traffic signs, a tree and drove through the wall of a house. The driver then jumped out and ran away," spokesman Wayne Minnaar said.
He said the accident happened along Columbine Avenue at the intersection with Edenhurst Street at 7pm.
"A docket for the driver's arrest has been opened for running away from an accident as well as negligent and reckless driving," Minnaar said.
