A man was killed while walking his bicycle on the N12 near Potchefstroom on Saturday evening, Gauteng paramedics said.
ER24 spokesman Andre Visser said the details of the accident were unclear but it appeared the man had been pushing his bicycle on the road when he was struck by a vehicle.
"The pedestrian had sustained various fatal injuries and was unfortunately later declared dead at the scene.
None of the occupants in the passenger vehicle had sustained any injuries," Visser said.
Police are investigating the accident.
