Four men were arrested on Saturday in Colville for armed robbery after stealing petrol from a petrol station and using a firearm, Northern Cape police said.
"After filling their vehicle with fuel, they refused to pay for the fuel... They threatened to shoot and kill the petrol station manager with a firearm," said Lieutenant Olebogeng Tawana.
After a petrol attendant contacted police, the four men, aged between 22 and 31, were arrested shortly afterwards.
Upon police searching the men's car, a firearm loaded with ammunition was found inside, said Tawana.
The four men are expected to appear in the Kimberley Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
