ANC president Jacob Zuma is the "action man" who will lead South Africa to prosperity, his deputy Cyril Ramaphosa said on Thursday.
"The time for talking is over. We want action, and action man Jacob Zuma will ensure that this country moves forward," he told African National Congress members at a "cadre's forum" in Edendale, Pietermaritzburg.
He said that while the ANC had done well, matters such as job creation and improved service delivery needed urgent attention. The ANC had a plan to deal with poverty, he said.
"If you ask me what legacy will be left by Jacob Zuma, I will tell you that it is the National Development Plan and the multi-billion [rand] infrastructure project."
